I am a weddings and namings celebrant based in Colchester, Essex. I decided to become a Humanist celebrant because I loved the idea of helping people make special days in their lives even more special. For many years I have believed that people should be free to make weddings, naming ceremonies and funerals meaningful without religion or a need to include a supernatural being. Having had a naming ceremony for my own children and been to a number of Humanist weddings and funerals I began to realise that becoming a celebrant was something I had the skills and aptitude for.
Your day is about YOU and your needs. We will personalise it so that you have a bespoke ceremony that reflects you and your partner/children/family. We can include readings, music, symbolic actions or whatever you want. It can be indoors in a grand venue, an outdoor summer wedding in a field or an intimate naming in your own home. Your ceremony should reflect your characters and personalites and I will work closely with you to make this happen. At the end of your day you will have a signed certificate, should you want it, and a beautifully presented copy of your script as a memento.
I am, like every celebrant in this organisation, trained and accredited by the British Humanist Association. We have challenging but thorough training and rigorous quality control so you have a guarantee of excellence. I would be delighted to work with you before and on your special day.
